I am a former elementary school teacher, and have been working as a freelance writer, editor, and project manger since 2003. I am certified in Elementary Education and Special Education/Varying Exceptionalities (K – 12), have been certified by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, and have 60 hours of ESOL training. My writing and editing experience includes student instructional texts, teachers’ editions, assessment items, and parent resources. I was co-author of “Cracking the Third Grade,” a handbook for parents of elementary students; and a contributing writer for “How to Remember Everything,” a resource for students in grades 6 – 8.
