I am especially interested in writing hi-lo in nonfiction and fiction for both children and adults. My picture book, “The Tree Lady,” published by Simon & Schuster in 2013 has won numerous awards and been enthusiastically reviewed. “The Tree Lady” is a biography of Kate Sessions, a pioneering horticulturalist who searched the desert places of the world for plants that were drought resistent and would flourish in the Mediterranean climate of Southern California.

I have 40+ years of experience as a teaching and speech-language pathologist in schools, summer camps, home health agencies, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. I have experience teaching at the college level. I have written for a monthly newspaper. I always meet deadline.
I am interested in writing assessments.
